44: The Red Gel

This was fun to take.

Anyway, I've switched the contest. Now I give a sentence to tell the story, you tell me the resolution, and I give you the denouement. Each day we write a new story.

i.e. I say: "The parent having walked away, I jumped into the car and grabbed the keys so carelessly left on the seat." You say: "The kid reacted extraordinarily quickly: he grabbed the keys out of my hand and swallowed them." I write: "I swore."

The full text:

"The parent having walked away, I jumped into the car and grabbed the keys so carelessly left on the seat. The kid reacted extraordinarily quickly: he grabbed the keys out of my hand and swallowed them.

I swore."

You get the idea. Anyway, if you want to do the thing that I was doing before, do Tim's thing.

Your prompt for today:

Jamie noticed the flames before anything, and so it took his brain a second or two to also register the gasoline dripping from the back of his car.

He reacted by putting a bucket under the dripping car to catch the gasoline. He then walked away.

"They must have tampered with the gas tank too," he thought, as he sped toward the mountain of fire in front of him, his foot tied to the gas pedal.

And Sam walks onto the scene, saying, "Sorry to disappoint you guys, but I'm going to leave this as a cliffhanger."

he saw a person near by. the person was alright, but pointed to the baby. He checked around to see if the scene was safe. it wasn't, so he moved the baby. he checked the scene again. the scene was safe. He flicked the baby's foot while saying "baby! baby! are you alright?". there was no response. He yelled at someone, "Call 911! This baby's unconscious!!!!"

Then he said,"I should have listened to my parents. 'never try to immitate a firethrower while filling up on gas.' Why am i such a rebel?"

The gasoline was dark blue, and had shiny orange specks in it. Jamie came to the conclusion that it was not really gasoline, but rather a magical substance that existed to eat his car's bright red paint job.
