Pink=red with white. Then why does it have a name if white and orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple don't have names? Maybe they are not special. That is sad. Poor colors. Maybe red is a dictator who is evil and the other colors are the people in the country. That's a small country. And then the dictator gets all the happiness. And the other colors don't because the dictator is evil. They should overthrow the government and set someone else in control.

Oh my. That was really random.

It probably has its own name because the color pink evokes different imagery and emotions, and in that sense is more than just a light red.

Anonymous, I'll concede they have names, but pink is so much more common, as well as consistently recognized as pink, than those other colors, setting it apart.
