Believe me, I've felt like doing that several times. Though I prefer a sledgehammer to an axe.
True story: my computer (the one that's dead now, this was a while back) was acting screwey; it kept freezing up and whatnot, so in a fit of desperation, I went down to the basement, grabbed one of my Dad's hammers, ran back upstairs, and said something like, "Okay, computer, it you don't start working right now I'm gonna smash you to bits!" So I rebooted the computer and, lo and behold, the thing started working perfectly.
Sorry for using your comment board as my own personal ranting zone (I had another joepoe moment)
